The Human Journey

A 3D short film about where our species began and where we went. The globe turns to Africa about 300,000 years ago, where the oldest known fossils of Homo sapiens were found. Earlier members of the human family appear across millions of years, then the ice age world with its lower seas. People spread across the world in many movements, shown as widening regions with their dates, never as one arrow. Close scenes show the oldest known beads, a drawing in red ochre, cave marks, the first farms, and the first cities, each drawn as a plain illustration. It ends on Earth today, with about 8.2 billion of us. Every line is on screen; a narrated edition with music follows. Personal, creator, and public display licenses. From $25.
